PPP Security Specialist recently worked closely with Smart R’s CCTV expert, Simon Shawley, to design a 240 IP network camera system for a prestigious hotel in Knightsbridge, London. “Simon recommended that we use Wisenet cameras, manufactured by Hanwha Vision, for the project. Simon’s knowledge of the technology built into these cameras is second to none and as a result, we were able to provide the hotel with a cost-effective solution which did not compromise on quality and with the ideal Wisenet model installed at each camera location.

“Bandwidth and video storage requirements always have to be taken into consideration for an IP network based solution and particularly so when a large number of cameras are to be installed (Be Aware Of AI’s Appetite For Bandwidth) Simon’s advice in respect of the Wisenet cameras took into account that they are equipped with WiseStream complementary compression technology which significantly reduces bandwidth requirements.

“The cameras also have a Region of Interest (ROI) feature which, together with superior low-light performance, further reduces the amount of data which needs to be transmitted and stored. We were therefore able to deliver to the client a solution which offered 30% savings in respect of bandwidth and HDD storage, compared to the other major brands considered.

“The cameras also allowed us to provide the client with peace of mind in know that the cyber secure cameras are manufactured in Korea and are NDAA compliant”.
