The SMS system comprises of a central MS SQL database, a dedicated Control Information Manager (CIM), a system processor and a user-client for single or multi-user client access. Vanderbilt Industries make this software available for new and existing installations in a variety of options from the standard single-user system to version upgrades for existing sites and multi-user expansion licences.

SMS Enterprise Access Control System – software for new installations
- VSMS-SFT-1 VSMS Single User Enterprise Software: One (1) client license and Microsoft SQL Express database.
- VSMS-SFT-5 VSMS Five (5) Client Enterprise Software: Five (5) concurrent client license and Microsoft SQL Express database.
- VSMS-SFT-10VSMS (10) Client Enterprise Software: Ten (10) concurrent client license. The end user must provide a licensed copy of Microsoft SQL.
- VSMS-SFT-25VSMS (25) Client Enterprise Software: Twenty-five (25) concurrent client license. The end user must provide a licensed copy of Microsoft SQL.
- VSMS-SFT-EXPVSMS Single Client Expansion License: Provides single (1) expansion licenses above twenty-five (25) concurrent client license. MS SQL not included.

VRR Redundant Recovery Solution
The VRR is an automated method of duplicating data and quickly reconfiguring reader controllers and workstations to use an alternate system processor, data directory, server or CIM in the event of a catastrophic situation or system failure. NOTE: Must be at least a (10) user system with full MS SQL Server.VSMS-SFT-5 VSMS Five (5) Client Enterprise Software, Five (5) concurrent client license and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express database. -
VGUEST-LICVSMS Additional Guest Pass Licence
Provides a separate set of visitor parameters and can be used at multiple locations with the same parameters. Each set of parameters requires a Guest Pass License. -
VGUEST-WEBVSMS Guest Pass Web Interface
For use with Guest Pass software. The web browser allows multiple users to add pending guests via the Internet or Intranet. User will have the ability to assign location(s) for guest arrival. End user must provide Internet Information Server. Factory installation required.
