Spotlight On: Hanwha Vision
Its recent name change from Hanwha Techwin to Hanwha Vision may have grabbed the headlines, but it’s worth taking a closer look at the South Korean manufacturer for many other reasons. In our latest Spotlight On: Hanwha Vision, we explore how that in addition to becoming increasingly more price competitive, the company has built a formidable reputation for producing cyber secure and highly reliable Wisenet video surveillance cameras and recording solutions packed with real-life practical features.
The Wisenet Q camera series is particularly impressive. Despite being keenly priced, Hanwha Vision has not compromised on build quality or the functionality of the high definition, multi-megapixel cameras, which are equipped with a suite of intelligent video analytics to assist users to detect any suspicious activity. In addition, the compact Wisenet Q mini cameras are supplied with license-free people counting analytics and with an open platform chipset, they also provide the opportunity for third-party applications to be run on-board.
It’s Time To take A Closer Look At Hanwha Vision
Smart R is ideally placed to guide you through the comprehensive range of Wisenet cameras. Having worked for Hanwha Vision (nee Hanwha Techwin) for many years, including a spell as European Sales Director, Simon Shawley, our CCTV Business Development Manager, knows more than a thing or two about the products and collectively our pre-sales and technical teams have over 40 years’ experience of the highly respected brand.
The affordable Wisenet Q series is ideal for high camera count applications where there might be a limited budget. Wisenet, however, offers a wide range of other choices, such as the X camera series, which is supercharged by the most powerful chipset ever incorporated into a full camera range, as well as the premium ultra-high definition P series. Many of the cameras which form part of these series are equipped with Deep Learning based AI. Together, they enable Hanwha Vision to provide an effective camera solution for virtually any video surveillance project.
Continuity Of Supply
With many electronic security brands having experienced supply chain problems, you can have peace of mind in knowing Hanwha Vision have a proven track record of providing their products in a timely fashion.
There are a number of reasons for the supply problems, including the knock-on effect of lockdowns which has resulted in a global shortage of electronic components. Manufacturers who use third parties to produce their branded products have encountered this problem more than most, as they are not in control of the manufacturing process.
Direct manufacturing gives Hanwha Vision oversight and control of production. It was able to ensure its employees could work safely on the factory floor during the pandemic and that production lines kept running smoothly. As a result, it was able in the 12 months to July 2022 to ship 60-70% more units than it did during the previous 12 months.
