Helping Andrew and his colleagues achieve this objective is the 2-megapixel Wisenet QND-6082R IR dome camera with 3.1x motorised varifocal lens manufactured by Hanwha Vision (formally Hanwha Techwin). Sourced from Smart R, this feature-rich true day/night camera is equipped with built-in IR illumination, enhanced Wide Dynamic range (WDR), and Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA), such as defocus and tampering detection, as well as directional, intrusion, motion and enter/exit detection. It also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which negates the need to install separate power supplies and cabling for each dome.

“The Wisenet QND-6082R is our ‘go to’ camera when we are designing a new CCTV system or looking to upgrade or expand an existing system”, said Andrew. “Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, but when necessary, we recommend other cameras from the Wisenet Q camera series, such as the QNO-6082R Bullet camera and the QNV-6082R vandal resistant dome”.
